Zoom integration guide
Automate My Blog Live Strategist for Zoom — add, use, configure, and remove
1. What the app does
When authorized for your Automate My Blog organization, the Zoom app lets AMB join meetings you host so Live Strategist can:
- Receive meeting lifecycle events (for example meeting started / ended).
- Join as the AMB Strategist participant for live transcription-assisted coaching.
- Surface mid-call suggestions in your dashboard and, when you allow it, speak approved lines in the room.
- Support post-call summaries and related follow-up workflows tied to that session.
At a high level, authorization covers meeting and user scopes needed to join the meeting, obtain join/recording credentials where required, and operate the strategist experience. Exact scopes are shown on Zoom's consent screen when you Connect.
2. Add / install the app
In Automate My Blog (required to link Zoom to your organization)
- Sign in to Automate My Blog and open the organization that should own the Zoom connection.
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Zoom.
- Click Connect Zoom and complete Zoom's OAuth consent.
- Return to the Zoom tab and confirm status shows Connected (and bot-related health checks look healthy).
From Zoom Marketplace. Choosing Add / Authorize on the Marketplace listing also completes Zoom OAuth and lands on a success page. To attach that Zoom account to an Automate My Blog organization, still sign in and use
Connect Zoom under
Settings → Integrations → Zoom.
Zoom account notes. While the Marketplace app is unpublished, only Zoom users on the same Zoom account as the app (or users added as authorized testers via a publishable URL) can successfully authorize. After publication, eligible Zoom users can install according to Zoom's distribution settings.
3. Use the integration
- Start (or host) a Zoom meeting as the Zoom user that authorized the app for your organization.
- Wait for AMB Strategist to join the meeting (the participant appears in the Zoom roster).
- In Automate My Blog, open Live Strategist for that organization to see the live transcript, coaching suggestions, and voice controls.
- Optionally save 1–2 call goals, then approve and Speak useful suggestions (or enable auto goals / auto speak modes you are comfortable with).
- When the meeting ends, post-call workflows may process the session according to your plan and settings.
4. Configure after authorization
- View connection and live-call health.
- Reconnect if Zoom scopes change or the connection looks stale.
- Review Live Strategist settings (including voice modes) during an active call.
5. Remove / disconnect the app
From Automate My Blog: open
Settings → Integrations → Zoom and choose
Disconnect. This clears the organization's stored Zoom connection so AMB no longer auto-launches for that org's meetings.
From Zoom: open Zoom Marketplace → Manage → Installed Apps (or Apps on account), find Automate My Blog / Live Strategist, and remove or revoke access. After removal, reconnect in AMB if you want to use the integration again.
